My final project at Inside Passage School of Fine Woodworking, this Krenovian style piece was inspired by my favourite cabinet which was made by my teacher and mentor, Robert van Norman. Woods used include Figured Pear, Bubinga, Figured and Spalted Maple and King. It features coopered door panels that curve in three directions to resemble a ship’s sail catching the wind, hand cut dovetails in the drawer, through and wedged mortise and tenons in the stand, and hand carved pulls.
This wood cabinet measures: 32" wide by 11" deep by 39" tall.
Wood: Figured Pear, Bubinga, Figured and Spalted Maple, and King wood.
