A little ventilation can go a long way. A little copper can make it look considerably better.
These custom audio vents were originally designed for the large walnut audio wall unit shown elsewhere on the site, where they provide ventilation around the equipment while also giving cables a clean route through the cabinetry.
Each vent is machined from solid wood, with every opening individually lined in copper. The combination of warm walnut and exposed copper turns what would normally be a purely functional detail into something worth noticing.
The pattern and dimensions can be completely customized to suit the application. Larger openings can be used for cable routing, while smaller perforations provide airflow around amplifiers and other heat-producing audio components.
Shown here in walnut, these can be made in a variety of woods and to virtually any size or configuration, making them ideal for custom stereo cabinets, media consoles, equipment racks, speaker enclosures, and other furniture where ventilation and cable management need to be incorporated into the design.
