Designed by Studio Roslyn and built by Maughan Made, this custom floating entryway cabinet was created around one very specific collection: sunglasses.
Seven drawers are dedicated to the collection, each lined in felt and fitted with solid walnut dividers to hold five pairs of glasses. Above them are two taller drawers for whatever else needs a home, while a generous open compartment below provides an easy place for leashes, dog accessories, and other things you want close at hand on the way out the door.
The drawers are grain-matched throughout, with custom handles that continue the grain seamlessly across the fronts.
At the top, a recessed opening is lined on all five interior surfaces with bronze-finished mirror, creating a dedicated spot to check out your shades before heading out.
Floating above the floor, the cabinet keeps the entryway feeling open while quietly packing a surprising amount of very specific storage into one piece.
