Speaker stands are supposed to disappear. These were designed to do quite the opposite.
Built from Padauk and Maple shop sawn veneer wrapped around premium baltic birch boxes with solid Padauk bases, these custom speaker stands were designed to resemble architectural brick columns, giving a pair of high-end speakers a substantial and sculptural foundation.
But the unusual construction isn't just for looks. The solid wood base can be removed to reveal an opening inside the column, allowing the stands to be filled with sand. The added mass dramatically increases their stability and helps reduce unwanted resonance and vibration, creating a more solid foundation for the speakers.
Designed as much to belong in the room as the speakers themselves, these are no ordinary speaker stands.
